Are You on the Verge of the Insulin Cliff?

Blood sugar is one of the most talked about topics in the world of health today.  Diabetes, a disease that used to only affect a tiny percentage of the population has exploded and even reached into the ranks of children.  This is a very scary prospect, and knowing your blood sugar is more than important, it's vital.  Even if you have not been diagnosed with diabetes, blood sugar can be an issue, creating a wave of effects throughout your body without you even realizing it. Typical symptoms of blood sugar dysregulation include:

  • Fatigue

  • Irritability

  • Craving for sweets or coffee

  • Afternoon headaches

  • Lightheadedness or shakiness if you don't eat

  • Excessive appetite

  • Forgetfulness

  • Dizziness without movement

  • Poor circulation

  • Fat around the belly

  • Sudden weight gain

The sooner you begin to pay attention to blood sugar, the better your aging process will be.  More and more, I am facing patients who are struggling with Metabolic Syndrome X, hypoglycemia, diabetes and even pancreatic cancer.  It really is a very slippery slope and one that can shorten your life and even take your limbs.  It's not a slope you want to be skiing down, and there are natural options that can make a difference.

The first thing to realize is that diet plays an enormous role, much bigger than exercise, lifestyle, stress factors and even immunity.  Diet is the key.  However, once you are sliding faster than James Bond, you will need to do more than just diet.  But I always start these patients, no matter where they are on the slope, with my 10 day BS plan.  You might think that's bullshit, but it's really blood sugar.

So gear up and try this for 10 days.  It might be just the thing for giving you the brakes you need when you're on the verge of the cliff.

Begin with your 10 day diet:

  • Eat frequently throughout the day which keeps your blood sugar level.

  • Increase your fruit and vegetable intake, eating twice as many vegetables as fruits.

  • Add a mixed green salad at both lunch and dinner each day.

  • Try to eat vegetables of various colors each day.

  • Avoid common food sensitivities such as wheat/gluten, dairy, nuts and soy.

  • Drink only water, and water-based drinks such as herbal teas. You must drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces per day.

  • Remove alcohol, soft drinks, refined carbohydrates, artificial sweeteners and table sugar, chemical additives, trans-fats and non-organic meat.

Now you will be drinking a shake three times a day in addition to your meals.  You can either add these at the time of the meal, or you can have these as snacks between your meals.  Your shake will be 2 scoops of Standard Process SP Complete whole food powder.  (this is available as a dairy-free option).

You will be taking 15 capsules a day of Standard Process SP Cleanse which combines 20 unique whole food and botanical ingredients designed to support the body's normal toxin removal process.  Take 5 capsules with each meal.

You will be taking two nutritional supplement formulas.  One is a food-based product called Diaplex which encourages healthy blood sugar levels and supports the pancreas.  Gymnema is an indian herbal supplement which has been shown in recent clinical studies to reduce the body's resistance to insulin and increase its sensitivity, allowing for more balanced and healthy responses at a cellular level.

Diaplex is 3 capsules with each meal.  Gymnema is 2 tablets before breakfast and dinner.

If you can, take your glucose reading for three days in a row before beginning.  This will give you something to use as a comparison.  Then after your 10 day program, take your glucose reading for the following three days.  Even a simple program like this that moves your body into healthier digestion, more nutrition, less processed foods and gives you targeted clinically-positive supplements that can help support healthy blood sugar, can make a difference in only 10 days.

Imagine what you can do in 10 weeks?
